Profile:

  • Ohio Green Communities brings up to $25 million in equity from the federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, grants, technical assistance and additional flexible financing to developers building affordable rental housing. Ohio Green Communities has awarded $350,000 to four organizations to support the creation of 197 green, affordable homes in Akron, Cleveland and Dayton. The Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH), Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) and the Ohio Department of Developmentā€™s Office of Energy Efficiency joined with Enterprise in late 2005 to finance affordable homes in Ohio in 2006 that promote health, conserve energy and natural resources, and provide easy access to jobs, schools and services.

GLRPPR is a member of the Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange, a national network of regional information centers: NEWMOA (Northeast), WRRC (Southeast), GLRPPR (Great Lakes), ZeroWasteNet (Southwest), P2RIC (Plains), Peaks to Prairies (Mountain), WSPPN (Pacific Southwest), PPRC (Northwest).
