Profile:

  • Schools for Energy Efficiency™ (SEE) is a partnership designed to support schools with ideas and methods to reduce energy use and energy-related expenses. Focusing on low and no cost strategies, schools follow a systemized plan promoting efficient facility operations and behavior modifications through energy awareness. Program goals include: reduce energy use by 10%; achieve Energy Star status for buildings; and improve learning environment. SEE provides schools with the strategies, resources, and support necessary to promote, communicate, and implement an energy management program. The Program is meant to be flexible and can be customized to fit the needs of your school district. To measure success, third-party utility tracking analyzes data and provides reports on school energy use and expenses. The savings that result from SEE efforts should be considered a reinvestment into education.
