  • Southeast Minnesota Recyclers' Exchange (SEMREX) is a Joint Powers Board of ten counties working together to protect the environment through recycling and waste reduction. The organization began in 1989 as a group of county recycling staff meeting to exchange ideas about recycling and solid waste issues. From this starting point, SEMREX has grown to include both public and private members, focusing on Cooperative Marketing, Market Development, and Materials Exchange.

GLRPPR is a member of the Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange, a national network of regional information centers: NEWMOA (Northeast), WRRC (Southeast), GLRPPR (Great Lakes), ZeroWasteNet (Southwest), P2RIC (Plains), Peaks to Prairies (Mountain), WSPPN (Pacific Southwest), PPRC (Northwest).
