Profile:

  • The College of Business has established a small business development center (BDC) under the direction of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs (DCCA). The Center provides counseling, access to resources, technical assistance and referral services. It works in conjunction with the Chicago Economic Empowerment Zone's One-Stop Capital Program. Also working with the BDC is the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE). Throughout the year the Center offers non-credit courses, workshops and business forums. It has become a focal point for the College, the University and the Community to develop economic and community development opportunities.

GLRPPR is a member of the Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange, a national network of regional information centers: NEWMOA (Northeast), WRRC (Southeast), GLRPPR (Great Lakes), ZeroWasteNet (Southwest), P2RIC (Plains), Peaks to Prairies (Mountain), WSPPN (Pacific Southwest), PPRC (Northwest).
