Profile:

  • The Lenawee County Solid Waste Program decreases landfill usage and increase recycling by County residents through presentations and exhibits, media and education. The program also provides collection days for disposal of household hazardous waste, sponsors used tire collection days and coordinates Christmas Tree recycling and oversees rural recycling sites. The program also educates the public on various issues.

GLRPPR is a member of the Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange, a national network of regional information centers: NEWMOA (Northeast), WRRC (Southeast), GLRPPR (Great Lakes), ZeroWasteNet (Southwest), P2RIC (Plains), Peaks to Prairies (Mountain), WSPPN (Pacific Southwest), PPRC (Northwest).
