  • WTN is a not-for-profit Ohio corporation formed by leaders from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), the State of Ohio and industry. WTN is a part of Ohio's Thomas Edison Program - one of the nation's premier programs that link technology providers and users to create commercial opportunities. WTN performs technology transfer (T2), in response to contracts and grants from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD). WTN is the T2 intermediary for AFRL at WPAFB. As the intermediary between companies and AFRL, WTN transfers technology that transform businesses…giving American industry the power needed to survive and compete.

In addition to AFRL, WTN has several other federal laboratory sources of innovative technologies. For example, WTN works in partnerships with NASA, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These partnerships are a very important part of WTN's business model. WTN uses all these potential sources to find the right engineer or scientist who can help a business.
