  • The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) was established in 1967. Its purpose is to promote efficient resource use, pollution prevention, and sustainable practices, and protect Minnesota's environment through monitoring environmental quality and enforcing environmental regulations.

GLRPPR is a member of the Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange, a national network of regional information centers: NEWMOA (Northeast), WRRC (Southeast), GLRPPR (Great Lakes), ZeroWasteNet (Southwest), P2RIC (Plains), Peaks to Prairies (Mountain), WSPPN (Pacific Southwest), PPRC (Northwest).
