  • Established in 1931, the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District (GBMSD) is a single purpose municipal agency which provides wholesale wastewater services to municipal and industrial customers throughout the greater Green Bay area. The GBMSD mission is to promote public health and welfare through the collection, treatment and reclamation of wastewater while assessing stable, competitive rates. It operates under a long range plan, in cooperation with other organizations, to actively encourage pollution prevention and support programs to help ensure that water contaminated by human activity is returned clean to the environment. In pursuit of its mission, the GBMSD operates an advanced, highly efficient regional wastewater facility that meets stringent environmental regulations and is positioned to serve area communities into the 21st century.

GLRPPR is a member of the Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange, a national network of regional information centers: NEWMOA (Northeast), WRRC (Southeast), GLRPPR (Great Lakes), ZeroWasteNet (Southwest), P2RIC (Plains), Peaks to Prairies (Mountain), WSPPN (Pacific Southwest), PPRC (Northwest).
