GLRPPR Sector Resource: Illinois Department of Defense Environmental Partnership

Illinois Department of Defense Environmental Partnership

Illinois Department of Defense (DoD) facilities have joined forces with state and federal agencies to make the environment a top priority in their military operations. Known as the Illinois Department of Defense Environmental Partnership, the participating military installations have made a commitment to protect the environment by reducing the generation of pollution at their facilities. The partnership was formed in 1997. These web pages (housed on the Waste Management and Research Center web site) describe the partnership and include its charter agreement, a list of members, current projects, case studies, links, presentations, pollution prevention assessment reports, annual achievement reports, a reading list, and highlights of pollution prevention awards recently awarded to Illinois DoD facilities.
