Title:
Pollution Prevention and Business Management: Curricula for Schools of Business and Public Health, Volume 1: Modules 1-3

Abstract:
Written by Thomas J. Bierma and Francis L. Waterstraat, these instructional modules illustrate that pollution prevention offers businesses a competitive opportunity and is a natural extension of sound managment practices. These modules are designed to be flexible, and may be used together or independently. Module 1, "Pollution Prevention and Competitiveness," is an introduction to P2 and its value as a standard component of business management. Module 2, "Pollution Prevention and Process Improvement," illustrates how waste generation is a form of inefficiency, and presents methods for identifying and reducing such inefficiencies. Module 3, "Pollution Prevention and the Business Manager," explores P2 integration into management strategy. (PDF format; Length: 107 pages)
