GLRPPR Sector Resource: Informco Prepares for a Strong Future in Pollution Prevention

Title:
Informco Prepares for a Strong Future in Pollution Prevention

Abstract:
This Toronto Region Sustainability Program case study describes a Pollution Prevention Assessment performed at Informco, Inc., an offset lithography company. The assessment was part of Informco's pursuit of ISO 140001 standards and reflects the company's desire to apply for Eco-Logo certification under the ECP-58-94 standard for lithographic printing. As a result of the assessment, Informco installed a Reserve Osmosis System to treat its municipal water supply, eliminating the use of isopropyl alcohol, a volatile organic compound.
