Governor’s Pollution Prevention Award Recipient—Wright Patterson Air Force Base

Abstract:
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was one of eight recipients to receive the Governor's Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Pollution Prevention in 1996. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base replaced chemical based film in their multi-media center with digital processes. The project eliminated 15,570 gallons of hazardous chemicals per year, and 3 million gallons of tempered wastewater. The project also resulted in an annual savings of $400,000.
