More Food, Less Waste in Seafood Processing
Matcon is a consulting company with worldwide experience in seafood processing and clean production. This article describes some of the clean production options available in the seafood industry, which is facing demands to establish environmental protection measures. Companies must consider major investments in pollution control at a time when many of them are struggling to survive financially. Emphasis is therefore given to economically feasible solutions. The examples illustrate improvements in single processes and in overall production.
