GLRPPR Sector Resource: Tribal Community-Based Social Marketing Training Guide

Title:
Tribal Community-Based Social Marketing Training Guide

Abstract:
EPA Region 5 partnered with the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa to create a Community-Based Social Marketing (CBSM) Training Guide. This training guide provides an overview of how to use the CBSM process to increase the adoption of sustainable behaviors within the community.

The training guide also includes a Recycling Toolkit that provides component templates to promote recycling within the community. The toolkit components are based on a CBSM demonstration project with the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, which resulted in a 41% increase in the recycling rate at the college campus

Tribes can follow the toolkit components step-by-step and adapt them towards their own CBSM efforts to promote recycling or other sustainable behaviors i their communities.
