GLRPPR Sector Resource: Best Neighborhood Care Dry Cleaners - Cost Analysis of a Professional Wet Cleaning Shop

Title:
Best Neighborhood Care Dry Cleaners - Cost Analysis of a Professional Wet Cleaning Shop

Abstract:
TURI works with the dry cleaning sector to eliminate the use of perchloroethylene, due to the availability of feasible alternatives, particularly professional wet cleaning. Best Neighborhood Care Dry Cleaner received a TURI grant to help convert its shop to a wet cleaning facility. This case study provides an analysis of capital, performance, operational, and resource use costs for one facility operating as a professional wet cleaning facility. It is hoped that this information will be helpful to other similar shops considering in-house professional wet cleaning.
