Abstract:
Child Craft Industries is a nationally recognized leader in the manufacture of quality children's furniture. The company has worked with the Indiana Clean Manufacturing Technology and Safe Materials Institute (CMTI for several years. This project involved the optimization of the company's two electrostatic finish coating lines. The objective of the project--to maximize coating transfer efficiency from the electrostatic spray guns--resulted in reduced coating use and reduced volatile organic compound (VOC) and hazardous air pollutant (HAP) emissions to the environment.
