GLRPPR Sector Resource: ISRI Design for Recycling Award

Title:
ISRI Design for Recycling Award

Abstract:
Begun more than 25 years ago, the Design for Recycling Award is ISRI's highest award that is given annually to the most outstanding contribution to products designed with recycling in mind. It recognizes the proactive steps made by manufacturers who have actively incorporated Design for Recycling principles into their products and manufacturing processes. ISRI believes that the folowing principles should be applied to product design: making consumer products recyclable; reducing environmental risks from consumer products; controlling special environmental problems; and assistance to manufacturers of consumer durables.
