GLRPPR Sector Resource: 2012 Case Study: Advantage Metal Recycling

Title:
2012 Case Study: Advantage Metal Recycling

Abstract:
Advantage Metals Recycling hired intern Emily Schmar to find ways to improve efficiency and lower the overall cost of production at each of the three main Kansas plants. Schmar suggested easy to implement solutions that would reduce fuel, water, and electricity usage. The predicted projects were estimated to reduce usage by 406,000 gallons of water, 119,300 kWh of electricity, and 6,700 gallons of fuel, which would save the company about $23,300 per year.
