Our Common Ground: Food Workers, Sustainable Food Advocates, and Institutions of Higher Education
In this report, we share four points of common
ground: Food workers want to cook again; Food workers play an important role in food safety; Raising food workers' job standards addresses an important part of the food crisis; Food workers share an interest in food
transparency. Our experience at Yale University provides one example of successful collaboration. Indeed, a more comprehensive model of sustainability on
campus is not only possible but also enhanced by the involvement of food workers.
