This Indiana Clean Manufacturing Technology & Safe Materials Institute (CMTI) case study describes Atlas Foundry's efforts to replace a cupola furnace with two, four-metric-ton, batch-load, electric coreless induction furnaces. This type of furnace produces substantially less environmental pollutants.
