GLRPPR Sector Resource: NREL: A Guide to State Clean Energy Policy Options

Title:
NREL: A Guide to State Clean Energy Policy Options

Abstract:
With support from the U.S. Department of Energy Weatherization and Intergovernmental Assistance Program, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has created an online resource--A Guide to State Clean Energy Policy Options. The guide allows states to explore their clean energy policy options, matching their goals with those policies that will have the greatest impact. The policy evaluation provided by the guide is based on well-designed policies, with the assumption that design best practices will be followed. For decision makers, it's meant to be a starting point to explore their policy options. They should keep in mind that each state and context for policy implementation are different. Policies function best when context-specific market factors are considered.
