GLRPPR Sector Resource: Let "Lean" Guide You to "Green"

Let "Lean" Guide You to "Green"

In this guest column for Environmental Leader, Cetherine Greener discusses how sustainability is really something that many organizations have been practicing for a long time in the form of "lean" manufacturing (process improvement methodology). She suggests that companies can expand their notion of waste to include not only process and product waste, but also the business consequences of unsustainable practices, and thus integrate sustainability into existing continuous improvement programs.
