This portion of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) web site describes the Prescription Drugs/Sharps Disposal Program, which ensures environmentally-safe disposal of such items for communities in Cook Co., IL, and guards against potential theft associated with disposing of old medications. A brochure describing the program and listing acceptable and unacceptable wastes is provided, as well as the locations of drop-off facilities throughout the county.
