GLRPPR Sector Resource: Guidance Manual for Paint Reuse Programs

Title:
Guidance Manual for Paint Reuse Programs

Abstract:
This document was prepared by the Paint Product Stewardship Initiative and funded by the National Paint and Coatings Association. The purpose of the document is to encourage new paint reuse opportunities, which will ultimately reduce the volume of leftover paint that requires higher levels of management, thereby reducing the cost of a nationally coordinated system to manage leftover paint. Multiple case studies are included. This document also includes Consumer Paint Management Guidance, which outlines how to determine the amount of paint needed, how to properly store paint, as well as guidance on reuse and disposal.
