GLRPPR Sector Resource: Green Suppliers Network

Green Suppliers Network

The Green Suppliers Network is a collaborative venture among industry, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Department of Commerce's Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). Its goal is to help suppliers continuously learn ways to save money, optimize resource use, and eliminate waste through on-site technical reviews, resulting in manufacturers with higher profits and fewer environmental impacts. The "About" section of the network’s web site describes the "Lean and Clean" approach, the on-site technical assessment service, FAQs and how to join the network. The "Sectors" section summarizes results for the sectors currently served (aerospace, automotive, office furniture and pharmaceuticals/health care). Other sections of the site describe network partners and champions, provide case studies and metrics, present news and events, and offer resources and contacts for additional information.
