GLRPPR Sector Resource: Truck Stop Electrification Station Locator

Title:
Truck Stop Electrification Station Locator

Abstract:
The Truck Stop Electrification (TSE) Station Locator, sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration, displays public truck stop locations that have idle reduction facilities for heavy-duty trucks. Idle reduction equipment, systems, and plugs are available in eleven states (AL, AR, CA, GA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, SC, TN, TX) and are available for use by all truck drivers. Long-haul truck drivers in the U.S. typically idle their diesel engines to operate heaters, air conditioners, and electrical appliances. TSE stations can allow truckers to plug into an electrical outlet and cut off their engines.
