Abstract:
This reference guide was prepared for an Ohio EPA Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention (OCAPP) and Division of Hazardous Waste Management (DHWM) training on laboratory pollution prevention. Links are included to OCAPP and DHWM resources; U.S. EPA resources; and industry resources. Other resources are grouped into the following categories: alternative chemicals/substitutions; inventory purchasing controls and chemical tracking program examples; materials exchange programs; solvent distillation; innovative techniques; resources for schools, colleges and universities; hospitals; tools for developing a P2 program in a lab; training opportunities; future technologies; and other helpful resources.
