Abstract:
This portion of the Northeast Waste Management Officials’ Association (NEWMOA) web site is designed to help manufacturers, importers, and distributors of mercury-added products understand how to comply with specific mercury-added product bans in the United States. It explains the term “mercury-added product” and the rationale behind the bans of these products. A table is provided describing banned mercury-added products, where the ban occurs, the compliance dates, exactly what is covered, and specific product definitions. Contacts for further information are also available.
