Abstract:
This online primer provides background information on pollution prevention information related to environmental management accounting and references to essential pollution prevention resources. Environmental Management Accounting (EMA) is the identification, collection, estimation, analysis, internal reporting, and use of materials and energy flow information, environmental cost information, and other cost information for both conventional and environmental decision-making within an organization. This primer is intended for members of industry and technical assistance providers. It was developed by the Northeast Waste Management Officials’ Association (NEWMOA) as part of the Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange (P2Rx) national Topic Hub project.
