The Use of Gas Technologies for Water and Wastewater Treatment and Aquaculture

Abstract: Pure oxygen, ozone, and CO2 are found to be very valuable chemicals that offer significant economic rewards when properly used in the water treatment applications, pH control, aquaculture industry, water disinfection, and more. Attractive reduction in the maintenance and operating costs; very attractive return on investment; and flexibility of operation are some of the salient features of such applications. This presentation discusses the use of oxygen in wastewater treatment and aquaculture industry; the use of CO2 for pH control; and the use of ozone for disinfecting drinking water.
Biography: Dr. Brahmbhatt is the President of the Technology Services Inc. based in St. Louis, MO. He has wealth of knowledge in the environmental, chemicals, pharma, biotechnology, metal industry for the industrial gases applications and is the inventor for more than 25 patents in these areas. His industrial experience involves Exxon, Air Products, Messer Griesheim, and Air Liquide with over 35 years of services in the industry. He has authored papers in Chemical Engineering and Ceramic Engineering, Cryogas International, Gasworld and AIChE Magazines, and was interviewed by Cryogas international. He continues to be a consultant for a wide range of industries including top Industrial Gases manufacturers, chemical companies and universities.
